Store Count Ups Dollarama Sales

Dollarama Inc. had sales of $1,289.6 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2023, up 14.9 per cent compared to sales of $1,122.3 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2022. This increase was driven by growth in the total number of stores over the past 12 months (from 1,397 to 1,462 stores) and in comparable store sales. Comparable store sales for the quarter increased by 10.8 per cent year over year. Earnings before taxes were $386.2 million, or 29.9 per cent of sales, for the third quarter, compared to $347 million, or 30.9 per cent of sales, in the prior year period. Net earnings were $201.6 million compared to $183.4 million last year.
