Stud Finder Locates More Than Studs

Zircon’s Wood Stud SuperScan with Target Control Technology + FILTERz is the manufacturer’s second generation of stud finders that utilizes multiple sensors and sophisticated signal processing to filter out false positives. This product locates wood studs – as intended – and also filters out metallic objects, such as plumbing, conduit, straps, brackets, screws, protector plates, or ductwork in the wall. Additionally, it alerts the user to the presence of other low signal-strength, non-metallic targets, like plastic pipe, PEX tubing, and wiring. A haptic vibration and patented SpotLite Pointer shines an arrow-shaped beam on the wall so users can clearly understand the target’s location and areas to avoid.
