TELUS SmartEnergy helps Penticton residents save on bills
The City of Penticton has partnered with TELUS to offer residents a free, 12-month subscription to TELUS SmartEnergy, a program designed to help manage home energy use and reduce electricity costs. Penticton residents will be the first in Canada to access this offer, which includes a smart thermostat and two smart plugs for $25, providing savings of over $350.
The program aims to help households monitor their energy consumption, automate home settings, and reduce overall usage.
“This pilot project with TELUS is an opportunity to provide Penticton’s electrical customers with the tools to become more aware of their daily energy usage,” said Mayor Julius Bloomfield. “Not only can it help residents save on their bills, but it benefits the community’s entire electrical grid and supports our climate action targets.”
The partnership also includes TELUS planting four trees annually for each subscriber.
