TIMBER MART names 2024 Local Leader of the Year

TIMBER MART has named Cathy Tétreault as its 2024 Local Leader of the Year, awarding her an $18,000 grant to support three youth-focused projects.

Nominated by Matériaux Audet, a TIMBER MART store, Tétreault is recognized for her leadership at Maison des jeunes de Duberger and her efforts to address issues like cyber addiction and bullying.

Tétreault founded the Centre Cyber-aide (CCA) in 2011. She educates youth and parents on safe technology use. Her advocacy extends to international forums, and she authored Jeunes connectés, parents informés to guide families on healthy screen time.

“[Tétreault’s] commitment to educating and advocating for youth is critical in her community and we’re proud to be able to play a small role in that,” said Jon Irwin, vice-president of member services at TIMBER MART.
