Transactions Push Up Dollarama Sales

Dollarama Inc. had sales of $1,473.2 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2023, an increase of 20.3 per cent compared to sales of $1,224.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2022. The increase was driven by growth in the total number of stores over the past 12 months and in comparable store sales. Comparable store sales for the quarter increased by 15.9 per cent, consisting of a 14.1 per cent increase in the number of transactions and a 1.6 per cent increase in average transaction size. This compares to comparable store sales growth of 5.7 per cent for the prior-year period.
