Trusscore funds trade school scholarships

Trusscore, an interior walls and ceilings material science company, will sponsor two scholarships at Conestoga College, based in Cambridge, ON, worth a total of $2,500 per academic year. The Trusscore-Conestoga partnership is designed to promote and support local skilled trades training and drive the creation of more opportunities in the trades. The first scholarship is the $1,500 ‘Trusscore Way Women in Skilled Trades Leadership Award.’ It will be granted to a student in the Conestoga Women in Skilled Trades program who best demonstrates leadership traits aligning with Trusscore team values, known as ‘The Trusscore Way.’ The second scholarship is the $1,000 ‘Trusscore Way Leadership Award,’ which will go to a student nominated by course instructors entering their second year of the Conestoga construction trades program and who shows exemplary leadership qualities. Award recipients will be chosen jointly by Trusscore and Conestoga faculty, with the apprentices’ instructors, who know them best, nominating students for both awards.
