U.S. Consumers Shopping On YouTube

YouTube is the most trusted U.S. platform for social commerce with almost two-thirds of consumers saying they find YouTube somewhat or very trustworthy for finding and purchasing products, says a report from Insider Intelligence. Facebook comes in second at 51 per cent, followed by Instagram at 45 per cent. Consumers trust the YouTube brand for driving sales with 45 per cent of respondents admitting they are somewhat likely to shell out for a product via the video platform. This is two percentage points higher than for Facebook.
