UL Solutions Launches Smart Product Rating Program

UL Solutions, a testing, inspection, and certification services provider, has developed a smart-systems rating program to help solidify the definition of a smart product within the smart building industry. The program identifies the key factors of a smart building system such as connectivity and interoperability, functional value, resilience, cybersecurity, digital experience, control, and automation. The program features three categories of classification: Smart Silver ‒ features and best practices that make a system smart; Smart Gold ‒ features and best practices that are top of the line; and Smart Platinum ‒ features and best practices that are exceptional.
