Walmart Canada and Canadian Red Cross unite for disaster relief

The Canadian Red Cross, in collaboration with Walmart Canada, has launched its annual giving campaign. Throughout July, Walmart customers in Canada can donate at checkout in stores and online at Walmart.ca to support disaster relief efforts. The funds will help provide emergency lodging, clothing, food, and personal items for those affected by emergencies.

This campaign aims to build stronger, more resilient communities amid increasing emergencies like fires and floods. Walmart is starting the campaign with a $1 million corporate contribution.

Over the past year, Walmart Canada and the Walmart Foundation have supported various emergency appeals. Over 21 years, Walmart Canada has raised over $70 million for the Canadian Red Cross.
