West Fraser CEO to retire, successor appointed

Hank Ketcham, chairman of West Fraser’s board of directors, has announced that Ray Ferris, president and CEO of West Fraser, will retire on December 31.

Ferris, with over 26 years at West Fraser, has played a significant role in the company's growth in sales, profits, product variety, and geographic reach. His leadership emphasized safety, environment, and workforce development.

Effective January 1, 2024, Sean McLaren, current COO with 35 years of experience at West Fraser, will assume the role of president and CEO. McLaren's focus aligns with the company's principles of efficient production and sound financial management.
