Young Canadians prioritize home ownership–survey
A recent Royal LePage survey has revealed that 84% of Canadians aged 18 to 38 view home ownership as a worthwhile investment, despite ongoing affordability issues. The survey, conducted by Hill & Knowlton, shows that 74% of those who do not own a home see it as a priority. Optimism about achieving this goal varies, with 54% believing it is attainable, while 26% are unsure and 20% doubt its feasibility.
Notably, 75% of respondents aim to buy a home eventually, and 18% plan to do so within the next three years. Nearly half (47%) expect to fund this purchase without family assistance.
Young Canadians are focusing on saving, building credit, and exploring innovative solutions to overcome financial barriers.
