Zak’s HHBC celebrates five years in Warman
Award-winning Zak’s Home Hardware Building Centre is marking five years at its Warman, SK, store location with celebrations taking place between May 30 to June 2.
Opened in 2019, the store is locally owned and operated by Chad and Wyatt Zacharias. As local entrepreneurs, they have continuously given back to the community they serve in various ways, including the following programs:
Tree Planting – Zak’s Home Hardware locations donate 25 percent of lumber profits toward reforestation and tree planting. This year’s benefactor community is Osler, SK, and will take place at a local school on June 6.
Poppy Program – In 2023, Zak’s began the annual Poppy Program to facilitate donations to the local legion.
Ladies Night – Annual fundraising event for the Warman Food Bank.
The community work done by Zak’s has earned them national and regional recognition, earning many awards including the 2019 Winner of Best Home Hardware Building Centre under 15, 000 square feet, the 2020 Home Hardware Outstanding Retailer Award, and the 2022 Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards winner of community involvement.
